• National Apricot, Balloon Ascension and Static Electricity Day

We ate Balconi Trancetto Apricot Snack Cakes as a treat today, in honour of National Apricot Day. There were 10 individually wrapped cakes in the package. Everybody liked them and all were eaten within that day. Happy we tried them but I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy them again. I felt they tasted like a 1/2 moon on the outside and caramel pudding on the inside. I bought them on Amazon. Amazon’s website is https://www.amazon.ca/. #Apricot Day

The Aeronauts movie is what we chose to watch for National Balloon Ascension Day. This movie was based on an 1862 flight of British aeronauts whose coal gas-filled balloon broke the world flight altitude record reaching 30,000 to 36,000 ft. I really enjoyed this action packed movie. We watched this movie on Prime Video. The Prime Video website is https://www.primevideo.com/. #Balloon Ascension Day
I remember my boys loved watching Bill Nye (the science guy); all the time, when they were younger. Going down memory lane watching Bill Nye on Static Electricity (Youtube) was nostalgic and fun. When electrons build up in an area, a charge builds up, and it’s just waiting to be released. The buildup of charge is called static electricity. Charges can jump around between things, especially when things are rubbed together. We watched this episode on Youtube. Let’s see what tomorrow’s adventure will be…
